2019/2018/2016 應高雄市文化局邀請,擔任春天藝術節『樂舞青春』之共同編舞,編創《亞特蘭提斯的傳說》、《普欽奈拉》、《長大的那些小事》,於高雄大東文化藝術中心演出。

2017 應義大利『舞台計畫』(Progetto palcoscenico)邀請,編創2017計畫I 《安妮》(Anne Frank), 於阿貝爾新劇院(Nuovo Teatro Abeliano)演出。授課於國立臺北藝術大學暑期大師班課程,雲門舞蹈教室師資班課程,高雄左營高中、台北中正高中、台南家齊高中舞蹈班暑期訓練。

2015 為左營高中舞蹈班年度畢業製作編創《浸.滲》,於高雄市文化中心至德堂,左營高中舞蹈劇場,及彰化縣員林演藝廳演出。應雲門舞集練舞場邀請,在春季和夏季教授當代舞蹈課程和舞作研習。

2014 獲選美國俄亥俄州的克里夫蘭基金會(Cleveland Foundation): Creative Fusion 駐村計劃。

2013與Francesco D’Astici共同編創HuiDance匯舞集跨國創藝舞蹈x音樂 《風景Scenery》。為國立台北藝術大學先修第13屆畢業舞展編創《The force》。推出肢體介入特殊空間計畫,編創作品《雙藝.雙翼》獲選為【2013年台南藝術節】城市舞台演出節目。受台南市佳佳西市場旅店之邀,進駐電影工作者李康生設計的房間『佳佳有本經-錄影中,請微笑』,以及英國編導達倫.強斯頓 (Darren Johnston) 設計的 『合覺房』,編創演出 《幻影》( Phantom )。應國立臺北藝術大學之邀,於「國際舞蹈菁英學堂」 (TAIPEIDEA)教授當代舞蹈課程。授課於台北首督芭蕾。

2012 擔任瑞士伯恩芭蕾舞團客席獨舞者。創立HuiDance匯舞集,與義大利編舞家Francesco D’Astici 聯手創團跨界作品《門The Door》的創作,並受邀於關渡藝術節、華山生活藝術節(Showcase)演出。應高雄市對位室內樂團邀請,為精緻室內樂系列音樂會《別名浪漫》編舞。擔任台灣代表,參加2012 北京跨藝.舞動無界『光與水』中外當代舞蹈創作交流,編創《匯流》。

2010 應國立臺北藝術大學之邀,於「國際舞蹈菁英學堂」(TAIPEIDEA)教授當代芭蕾。

2007-2012 以全職獨舞者身份加入瑞士伯恩芭蕾舞團。在團期間,慧貞和很多編舞家合作,包括了亞歷山德拉.艾克曼(Alexander Ekman),安東尼斯.佛尼亞達奇斯(Andonis Foniadakis),凱西.馬斯頓(Cathy Marston),迪迪.魏德曼(Didy Veldman),道格.瓦隆 (Doug Varone),漢斯.梵梅南(Hans Van Manen),尤里.季李安(Jiri Kylian),凱羅.阿迷塔吉(Karole Armitage),馬克.布魯斯(Mark Bruce),美帝. 瓦樂斯基(Medhi Walerski)等等; 慧貞以高超的技巧、多元的身體和表演風格、迷人的舞台魅力贏得了編舞家和同事之間的賞識並深獲觀眾的喜愛,經常擔任各舞劇中的女主角,其中包括了標題角色凱西.馬斯頓 (Cathy Marston) 的《克拉拉》(Clara)、迪迪.魏德曼(Didy Veldman)的《默默》(Momo)和馬克.布魯斯(Mark Bruce)的《米蒂亞》(Medea)。在編舞家凱羅.阿米塔吉(Karole Armitage)和國際編舞大師尤里、季李安 (Jiri Kylian) 作品中的表現,特別被歐洲舞蹈雜誌 (Dance Europe) 提及, 被稱其為性感、感性華麗...巧妙操控三人舞令人驚艷。飾演舞劇《默默》(Momo),英國舞評家大衛.米德(David Mead)在Dancing Times評論“根本無法抵擋飾演拖把頭女主角的蔡慧貞所散發之魅力”。2010 以主角身份,和伯恩芭蕾巡演英國,於皇家歌劇院 (Royal Opera House)演出編舞家凱西.馬斯頓 (Cathy Marston) 的 《克拉拉》(Clara)。表演同時,慧貞也擔任舞團當代舞蹈教師,並持續編舞,推出多齣深獲好評的舞作,被瑞士舞評家讚譽其編舞才華。

2007應編舞家張曉雄之邀,於國家劇院兩廳院 「二十周年慶雙人舞展」演出《風景》。擔任國立臺北藝術大學校際製作『客家大戲』之排練助理。

2006 遠赴歐洲汲取更多元的養分與視野,透過數百人甄選,同時獲邀加入德國多特蒙市立劇院(Stadttheater Dortmund)、太陽馬戲團(Cirque du Soleil)以及瑞士伯恩芭蕾 (Stadttheater Bern Ballet),而後決定加入瑞士伯恩芭蕾。

1998-2001 / 20003-2005加入雲門舞集,曾隨團參與紐約下一波藝術節(Next Wave Arts Festival)、德國柏林藝術節 (Berlin Arts Festival)、法國里昂雙年藝術節 (Biennial Arts Festival)、澳洲奧林匹克藝術節 (Olympic Arts Festival) 等,演出藝術總監林懷民《水月》、《行草三部曲》、《流浪者之歌》、《紅樓夢》、《九歌》、《家族合唱》、《竹夢》、《白》、《薪傳》等經典舞作。編舞家黎海寧為雲門舞集編作《太陽懸止時》,伍國柱編作《在高處》的原創舞者。

2004 國立台北藝術大學「羅孟真、嚴守潔」研究所畢業製作「迷漾」,為其編創《殘影》(Unfold shadow)。

2003擔任國立台北藝術大學校際製作「夢幻蝴蝶谷—胡桃鉗」於國家戲劇院演出之排練指導。獲選國家劇院實驗劇場『新點子舞展』編舞者徵選。

2002 同時獲得奧地利abcdancecompany及法國巴黎NDP Project的合約,而後決定加入NDP Project音樂劇場於巴黎Palais de Congress的演出,與編舞家馬汀.穆勒(Martino Muller)合作。

1999 參加雲門舞集2主辦之「亞太青年編舞營」,呈現舞作《封景》。參與三十舞蹈劇團「獨舞拾景—1999十人獨舞聯展」 發表《隙語》。

1996 發表《錯置》1997 發表《摩登話畫鳥》、1998 發表《情色》,獲得文建會主辦、舞蹈學會協辦的「舞躍大地舞蹈創作比賽」之銅牌獎、銀牌獎及佳作和最佳服裝設計。
Hui-Chen is currently the founder of HuiDance Project and the Assistant professor in Taipei National University of the Arts in Taiwan.
She was engaged with Stadttheater Bern Ballet (Konzert Theater Bern) in Switzerland (2007-2012), Cloud-Gate Dance Theater of Taiwan (1998-2001/2003-2006), NDP Project in Paris (2002-2003), and Dance Forum in Taipei (1998).
As a Dancer of Cloud-Gate Dance Theater, Hui-Chen gained worldwide reputation with the company, international touring: 2006&2000 Hong Kong Arts Festival, 2005 Shanghai Arts Festival, Cehov International Theater Festival, Athens Festival, and Tanec Praha & Basel Tanz Festival, 2004 Sadler‘s Well Theater, Bolzano (Italy), Sinjuku Culture Center (Tokyo), 2000 Next Wave Festival, Olympic Arts Festival, Lyon Biennial Dance Festival, New Zealand Made to Dance Series & Dance 2000 Munich Festival… Developed and implemented the company’s works: 《Bamboo Dream》, 《Cursvie Trilogy》, 《Moon Water》, 《Portrait of the Families, 《Song of the Wanderers, 《Nine songs》, 《Deam of the Red Chamber》, 《White》, 《Legacy》.
As a Soloist of Konzert Theater Bern, Hui-Chen worked with many choreographers including Alexander Ekman, Cathy Marston, Doug Varone, Didy Veldman, Hans Van Manen, Jiri kylian, Karole Armitage, Guilherme Botelho, Mark Bruce, Medhi Walerski and many others. She was often cast in principal roles including title roles in Cathy Marston’s 《Clara》, Didy Veldman’s 《Momo》 and Mark Bruce’s 《Medea》. She was admired by choreographers, colleagues and public alike with her powerful technique, versatility of style and magnetic stage presence. Her performances was critically acclaimed in both abstract and dramatic roles. Her performance in Jiri Kylian and Karole Armitage’s work was specially mentioned in Dance Europe magazine. David Mead in Dancing Times also describe-” it was impossible to resist the charms of Hui-Chen Tsai as the mop-haired heroine”, when she played the title role-Momo. In 2010, she toured with the company in UK, performed in the title role of Cathy Marston’s Clara in London Royal Opera House. Hui-Chen also taught contemporary classes to the company and choreographed several works for the annual “Tanz -Made in Bern” production and won excellent reviews.
OTHER EXPERIENCE: In 2007, collaborated with choreographer Xiao-Xhong Chang for the 『Happy 20th Anniversary』duet performance organized by Taipei National Experimental Theater. In 2009, participated “ International Young Choreographer Project” in Taiwan, presented the work 《Trapped Heart》. In 2011, invited to teach in International Dance Elite Academy hold by Taipei National University of the Arts. In 2012, 《The Door》choreography by Hui-Chen and Francesco D‘Astici was invited to perform in Taipei Kuandu Arts Festival, Huashan living Arts Festival Showcase, performed in Tainan Municipal Cultural Center (Yuanshen Theater), Kaohsiung WeiWuYin Arts Center. In 2012, participated in Arts Cross, Dans Cross as a choreographer in Beijing.
In 2013, Hui-Chen’s work 《Phantom》was created for site-specific, collaborated with Tainan JJ-W Culture Design Hotel,《Wings》was invited by 【Tainan Arts Festival City Stage】, performed in art gallery-Tainan B.B Arts. Hui-Chen collaborated with Francesco D'Astici in the production—Transnational Creative Arts-(Dance X Live Music) 《Scenery》of HuiDance project, performed in Tainan Municipal Cultural Center (Yuanshen Theater) & Taipei Ximen The Red House. In 2015, choreographed for the annual graduation performance of Tsoying Senior High School Dance Division. In 2016, invited to choreography for『 Young musicians and dancers project』in Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival. In 2017, collaborated with Progetto Palcoscenico for the 1.st edition-Anna Frank as choreographer and performed in Nuovo Teatro Abeliano, Italy.
